I have never built a gen 3 Backlash so I traded my sport 20 whiplash for a backlash kit from my buddy Adam.I had a couple issues in the build when sanding the burn cuts I had two pieces the wood pealed a ply off one on the top front left skin and on the rear frame.I couldn’t flip the top skin because there was a nasty looking knot on the other top skin so I used it.I had one area on the sponson top out side edge that I sanding tru.I like just clearing the hull easier on the paint side.I used my standard cross brace servo mounts. The nose cap and the wedge blocks I like to make longer so I went to Menards they have carving blocks made from bass wood I used like 7 bucks I made a small wedge to get the angles then I use it for a template. When I took the bottom sheeting out it had a corner the was damaged so I had a piece of 1/16 left over from last years build so I cut one out.Heres some pictures.

Worked on hardware and servo linkages. Before i mount the strut I take a 5/16 adjustable reamer and clean out the strut so the 5/16 tube slides right in.I used a 440 linkage on throttle I made the angle bracket for throttle on engine and fabbed the linkages shorten the throttle arm on carb for more clearance.I use a 1 1/2 drum sander on a drill to sand away the engine rail for carb clearance.I use tig stainless rod threaded for 6/32 threads.I like the woods pushrod seals also.I use this brigit solder suppose to some of the strongest solder.
