I always just throw them up in there. I guess I need to tear mine out and melt the ends. Glad you mentioned that.Seal the cut with a heat gun or it will absorb water.
Great, as if I didn’t already have enough to do… now I have to make pool noodle cutter thingy !

Never sealed the ends either and never noticed any water absorption.I also have never thought about sealing them I just always figured they repelled water regardless I use a steak knife to cut and trim the size of mine LOL
CORRECT!Closed cell foam doesn't absorb water, that's why they make pool noodles out of it. Sure, the exposed nooks and crannies on the cut surface can hold a tiny bit due to surface tension, but that's about it.
