Hello,
We've got a 'tool' that's supposed to correct this.. I haven't had much luck with it myself.. Let's see what it does..
Yeah.. Didn't work.
The problem is that IPB *THINKS* that Geraghty has 146 messages in his PM system..
As a member of the "Members" group, he can only have a maximum of 100.
If I edit the Members group, and change that to 200.
Boom.. I can send the message without problem.
Now.. The message_topic_user_map shows that the user has 147 messages (counting the one I just sent)
The message_topics table, mt_to_member_id shows 24 messages to that member.
If I actually login as that member, and look in their messenger..
There are 5 topics in there.. 5% of your quota (100 messages)
3 with 0 replies.. 1 with 3 replies.. 1 with 1 reply..
Some of those don't show in his list.. Like mt_id 11920.. That's not in his list of PMs.. Why not?
There's a map for it for the person who sent it.. But no map for the person who received it.
This is still an ongoing bug.. But this might be something the devs can use to help track the bug.. It's a good example of the problem..
All you can do right now, unfortunately.. Is raise the PM limit.. Really, just about set it to unlimited. Because that user only has 5 PMs in his inbox, and he's being charged with 147.

I have found you can not click on a members name and send a message to them. I have had to compose a new message and type the members name in, not like before where you could click on the name and hit send message.Thats one weird Bug Tom.
Thanks.
Dan.
