Hello to all you'll RC people out there , my name is Don , nickname Fishfiles from New Orleans , I now live 25 miles west in New Sarpy as Katrina swamped us pretty good , I really like the site, it has to be the best site on the web for boating info , this is my first post , I have been into rc boats , cars and planes since 1975 and my favorite boat is my oldest , I am running a 36 " Witchcraft fiberglass v hull ( 40 class) with a OPS 60 marine engine surface drive running 25% nitro , very stable and fast , have clocked at 82 mph by a radar gun, but find that I am losing some of the ump it use to have and think it's time for a new piston and sleeve or another engine , I really like the way my OPS has performed , it seems almost bullet proof ( knock on wood ) as in over 30 years of running it I have replaced the piston 3 times , the problem now is I am having trouble finding a new piston this time as all the sources for parts I had have dryed up, I was told that the 67 piston and sleeve will fit but I am not sure of that , anyone have any parts to sell or a source to get them thru , I seen a OPS 45 marine on ebay right now but don't really want to down size as the combo works well , I see sites advertize parts for OPS but when I email them I get no responce , may be out of business , I know OPS came from Italy back when and wonder if the company is still around mabe under a different name , any help would be greatly appiceated , spring is right around the corner and I am ready to burn up a few gallons of fuel ----, [email protected]
