I'm woring on setting up a new .12 rigger and I have a question. I'm using Solinger hardware. I centered my strut bracket on the transom. I forgot the the rudder mounts to the sie of the bracket that I need to mount the strut to. If I put the strut on the othre side it will be 1/8in offset to the left, looking from the rear ofthe engine.

Is this a problem? I don't think it will be but I think i should ask the question.

It will be fine where it is Anthony. We used to offset them to the right on the riggers. The full sized unlimiteds were setting them to the left because they turn left.

Some of the guys that built 1/8 Scales of these boats also set the prop to the left even though we race to the right. Anyway there were no problems with these 1/8 boats, so I'm sure you will be fine.

I think there was even a rigger design that set the sponsons to the right effectively moving the strut to the left. It was a very successful boat.
