Hey Ron I was curious too if you were able to send Novarossi the specs on the head I gave you for the .67

Dale,

By the time I got back from the Winter Nitro Nats, they had already created a head button for the new engine centered around successful type of design Mark Bullard used on the 91. I am sure we will need to fine tune the bowl shape and volume but time will tell. I appreciate you providing the design that works for you and if we can not get the performance we need out of the initial design, we may try your design as well. Thank you.

Understood Ron and thank you for taking the time and talking to me about the .61 and the .67. Like you said we will probably have to fine tune it and fortunately for us we have a very successful design that's been running well for 3 years now in our Novarossi .61. We have been long waiting as well as many others and pushing for the .67 after we built the first .61 and seen the high power and torque from the .61 as we are already pulling bigger props with the .61 then CMB'S .67. So thank you again Ron and I look forward to helping test the new .67.

Thank you, Dale

Thanks Dale. I will let you know if we need another hydro tester.

Dale,

Here is an update. One Prototype is with Mark Bullard. The second prototype is going to Jerry Crowther. I will have feedback for everyone very soon. I am hopeful with the success of the 21 and 46, as well as the release of the 91, that this prototype will be very close out of the box thanks to feedback and help from Bullard and Crowther. Stay tuned.....

Nice Ron do you know if the mount spacing is the same as a cmb67?

Mike,

Mark Bullard can get back to us. I sent you a PM. Was talking to Bellinger about you the other day. Can you call me?

Racers just opened the box. Motor look great. Mounting is the same as the Nova Rossi 91 DD. The holes are 31mm x 50 mm. Case is 43mm wide at mounting lugs. So if you use rails you need two holes 31mm x 3mm from the motor side of each rail.

Just measure the motor. The motor is great right out of the box. The numbers are;

Bore 0.948"

Stroke 0.945"

Exhaust 184 degrees

Boost 126 degrees

Transfer 128 degrees

Rotor Open 213 degrees ADTC

Rotor Close 60 degrees ADTC

Total Duration 207 degrees

Rod angle 16.6

If mounting is the same as the 91DD, then they are the same as a CMB 90/1.01 RS EVO. The 91DD is not as wide as a CMB 91/1.01 therefore the mounts have to be shimmed in some.

Hi Mark Look good piston/sleeve and " Beef " crankshaft anyway how much of weight compare between NR67 DD and NR 91 DD?

I see 2 head buttons
Mike,

The head button that came on the engine (smaller and deeper bowl) will be the European offering designed for low nitro. The second head button (larger shallow bowl) was designed for the higher nitro we use here in North America and the result of one of the additions Mark made to our marine engine line. That will be the head button Mark and others will test. We have also designed a water cooled pipe and header to use on monos and scales with limited air flow. This along with the extra cooling jacket below the cooling cap should help with higher temps in these types of environments, especially in the summer and in hotter climates.
