Buck, do you think the timing #'s will be beneficial for Mono's?Tore the K-21 sample down last night to inspect after over two gallons of 60%nitro with 18%Klotz. Piston and sleeve fit and wear pattern are fantastic! View attachment 320929
Yes, it will be a great motor for Mono, Rigger and Sport hydros. I plan on putting one in a mono as soon as Al gets the production motors in.Buck, do you think the timing #'s will be beneficial for Mono's?
Certainly work well in an outrigger.
Great news AL, hope you get well soonDepending on demand for the K21 and the K45, I hope to follow up with a .90 size engine. So much of the initial investment, spent before any engines are available, has to be spread out over the sales of many engines.
The material and manufacturing quality available to me is excellent.
I am confident that we can provide great engines. I just can not be as confident on a more expensive investment.
Well AL how's your leg doing? Hope it healing well for you and not too much pain. Take care.Depending on demand for the K21 and the K45, I hope to follow up with a .90 size engine. Doctor says another 6 to 8 weeks before I can get around well.Well AL how's your leg doing? Hope it healing well for you and not too much pain. Take care.
The world wide demand for 67 and 80 size engines really does not justify the investment. There is so much initial ivestment that has to be recovered in the engine's sale price. The most popular engines sizes worldwide are the 21 and the 45. Then comes the 90. To pay for the 21, I need to sell at least 500 engines. Same for the 45.67??
A short clip of Chris Grim testing a K21 during the Namba Nats in Huntsville. Driveline came apart at the end.
That is correct Al. There was even a small side bet placed between son and dad on the speed the 20 hydro was running versus the 40 hydro.Thank you for posting this video. I have been told that this boat, with a stock piston/sleeve went 93.8 mph in Cincy.
