2.5Cu In, ehhh. As I recall, the class was multi engine rigger. That's enough cubes for a triple .80..........
Ha... the man said TRIPLE 80`s 2.5 total Now that would be a strange sound..... MEOWWWWWWWW

I like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Pic from John's mag. Triple 60's. Mark, have one ready for Charleston. OH YEA    B) B)
Sorry don't on any 80's. I did see a triple at the first Internats in Huntsville but I don't know who had it. And that picture maybe from that event. I know that in one of his books on the inside of the cover and the first page there are pictures of on my old twins in Atlanta.

FYI- at the board meeting last night it was voted on and approved for one year trial to raise the twin nitro hydro displacement limit to 2.5 cubic inches total. The F class displacement limit remains the same as before.
I'll bet Doc and Mark are scrambling to put two 1.0 motors in a twin for Atlanta.   :D B)
Already had the piston & sleeves plus head buttons ready to go into the motors. LOL

You and DOC opposed this change when you submitted the Twin proposal 4 yrs. ago along with many others. IMPBA growed up a brain here. I repeat like I said 4 yrs. ago. The safety margin remains unaffected with the 1.01s. I guess you will not run your Twin in F Hydro anymore, LOL, LOL, LOOOLL .........  All I can say is thanks to the gas guys that came rescued us Nitro guys out of the dark side here.

Jose, Zuber suggested that it would be best to keep the New Twin class CID the same as F Classes when the new Twin class rules were written 4 years. After getting the class rules written & the class estabilished as a IMPBA US-1 class we could come back @ a later date and ask for a CID change. Many boaters have been instrumental in getting this all written & approved... Thanks to each & everyone of them we have a TWIN HYDRO US-1 class to advance into & race for a Long time to come. All of this started at breakfast table in Jax tn about 2004. Thanks to all that have helped get this class to its Deserved Level of Competition!!!! I know you love it Jose Your Desire & Passion to compete in the Twin Class Sparked my interest too... I`ll never forget the first time I drove your Picco Powered Roadrunner Twin @ Evansville the Vib`ssssss lasted for 30 min after..... Fire your engines!!!Sir... Let`s race...... jw

I remember, I was at the Jax TN table when Doc wrote the first proposal in a piece of yellow paper and pencil, then took it to the board meeting.

After talking to 6-8 twin pilots it was quickly decided that we needed a buffer in case someone steps up to the plate with a bigger motor. Personally i cant wait to see Doc running a pair of 101s. We will see at Atlanta who brings out a big GUN.........Mike

Larcor,

An inline twin is tricky enough (I would know ;) ), let alone a triple. Besides, the rules are for "Multi-Engine" set-ups. An inline ANYTHING is still a single engine. I already asked................

Thanks. Brad.

Brad,

Convert your twin cyclinder motor to a 1.2 total displacment. That would be very sharp to see that run.

Mark,

That would mean building ANOTHER complete engine, along with making new P/S sets for both........ Not to mention it might be kind of difficult to keep the boat under the 25 lb. MAX weight limit. The engines alone would weigh 11 lbs.

You're right, though, it would be cool to se a boat with TWIN INLINE TWINS!

Man..... What a sound THAT would be......

HHHHHMMMMM...... I DO have another crank ass'y, which was the most difficult parts to make. HHHHHMMMM.......

Thanks. Brad.

Start looking for way to make them lighter. You built a nice motor. I know thaat you spent a lot of time making the parts. If I was going to do something like that I would use someone else piston and sleeve. Maybe make the carbs out of delrin with alumnium barrels. Wow that was a good idea for carbs. You maybe able to make your intake valve out of delrin also with the bare minium steel parts for the crank.

It would be cool, very very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111
