Well, I was able to see Dick Loeb and my creation in action on the practice day at the WTC thursday. Due to having to head home, I did not get to video or see it heat race. Here are some pics, and video of the boat that is now available for orders. We held back building these until it was tested, and a believe me, it looked great out there! Thanks to Buddy Lowe for being our driver of the first build! We are working on a 30" FE and Nitro version right now since the gas design is doing so well. So look forward to that! If anyone is in need of one, I am trying to build 4 at a time, and have 2 orders already in the mix, so 2 more would be great! Just ask for details! Mike

I sent you a PM asking about the tunnel boats. Been thinking about one for a while. Will have to ask Dick to bring his to one of the club races so I can check it out.

John, Buddy Lowe actually has the one in the pics. He is our driver, and he lives in Alabama. I am however building Dick another one so he can have one up here!

Here are some pics of the hull as it was built. Mike

I saw this boat run at the tunnel champs and was very impressed it looks like it will be a winner very soon.

I have to agree with you!!

I must add that it is very well built and will take a lot of punishment. Just don't ask me how I know.

Very nice, what is the price of boat? And what does the bottom of the hull look like?

Thanks,

Mike

Well, in all that built, I onlyhave one picture of the bottom! The hull comes two ways, with or without the ribbon stripe mahogany on the top sponson decks and on the secondary ride pads in the picture below. If someone is going to paint the hull, then mahogany is of no use. The price with the mahogany treatment is $600 and without its $525. Here is a bottom shot, Mike

too bad mike didn't build the pipe, it might have held up better  . i saw your boat first, wayne, i was pitted between you & buddy, i REALLY didn't want to look on the other side of my tent at buddy's, after seeing yours. i was amazed at how strong this boat is !! that, & beautiful & a good runner. great job, dick & mike. put me on the list for a 30" nitro. i'll talk to dick at the race this weekend about it.

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Buddy, you will have to ask Dick about the washer and dryer! Lol. Robin, I will be testing the 30" out in FE for later this week. I started some paintwork on it tonight. If it runs like the gas tunnel does it should be a contender! I will keep you updated. Oh, and after that crash, I don't think anyone thought the L&L could have survived, but she did, I'm proud of it!

Also, Buddy and Robin, it was a pleasure getting to meet you guys! Mike

I have 3 spoken for. I am building 4 this run, so if anyone would like to claim the last one, just let me know. The turn around time will be around a month, or less. Thanks, MIke

How does the boat corner without non trip pads up front, I have run tunnels with and without, seems like the hulls with the non trips corner so much fast and with more authority, why did you guys decide not to use them?

Thank you,

Mike Hoffman
