It's been a while since I posted here, but I have some updates. The 38" original kit I posted in this thread is designed, and I have one cut and have been working on it when i can. I also designed a 50" version, and it is ready for cutting and building. I also decided to start on the 50" version cowling plug, and see how it went. Because it has gone so well, I am going to start working on the 38" cowling plug very soon as well. Here is where I am so far with the 50" cowling plug. I purchased a primer called Duratec Styroshield, and it has allowed for me to use blue foam, instead of expensive foams for the plug. I added the first body filler to the plug this morning, and tonight, I will sand, and reprime, and see where I am with the finish! More soon, Mike
