Tom had asked OP for the price shipped to his area. OP responded, and gave Tom the opportunity to reply. The gentlemen thing to do would give Tom first right of refusal, which in this case Tom chose to accept. So in short, no. I'll take it doesn't trump a deal in the works.

So I’m going to have to disagree with you on this.Tom was online AFTER the op posted the offer and he didn’t say anything then he comes back with he will take it AFTER I said I would. Either way it’s done deal now and doesn’t do any good to discuss it further.

So how long should someone give another boater to respond? I thought 24 hours is a good enough time and he responded in that time frame. The offered price was for Tommy not a general reduced price. If Tommy did not accept that price I had it sold for more on another outlet. Someone had made me an offer of a little more but did not accept it because I was waiting for Tommy to accept or decline. So the motor was never going to be sold to you for that price. Your were 3rd inline. My original post stated that the items were for sale on other outlets.
