When I raced my Mac it had to be blubbery rich on shore and nearly 4 cycling when it went in the water. After about a lap and a half or two laps in mill time it would heat up and clean out. If it wasn’t that rich when it hit the water, after the couple laps in mill time when it built some heat it would lean out. I bought a Gadget and a SPP RS pipe to test on my Mac outboards, just haven’t got around to it yet. I’ll have to try a standard silver bullet, and a stamper too. I tried the west coast air cooled setup, and went back to restricted water cooling. I couldn’t get any consistency with the air cooled setup.
