Just want to let everyone know that we drove Steve home on the weekend and he is doing pretty good. He will be going to see his Doctor today as the leg is still bleeding in a couple of places. Dressing needs to be changed every day. Looks like the infection is under control but he is taking pills now rather than IV. Three trips to the hospital every day last week was not a pleasant way to spend a week here in London.

Steve is very appreciative of all the support and we wish him well and hope to see him back in London in late August for the Northern Nats.

Squeak Update

Squeak is in WI and had the chance to see him last night for the first time since the accident.

His leg looks ugly.. the boat just exploded the muscle and skin in that area. You could see traces of where the infection was in his leg and the US doctors are saying its time to get some of the stitches out..

He is in good sprits and stated that he is glad he did not see the boat bearing down on him.. his thoughts here were if he would have had the chance to jump out of the way others could have been hurt and not him... you got to know squeak to know these are true words.. he means it.. He is also glad he can look down and see those five little guys sticking out the front of the cast.. could have been a lot worse.

ALSO and foremost on his mind it the thanks that he has for all his friends at I waters. he is very much looking forward to the Intnernats in 2005..

He will jump on here after we get a chance to get him back on line.

Lighter Boy...

Squeak is doing good.. to get his spirts up i picked him up on friday and we went to the pond.. I brought along a lounge chair and a few cold Mountan dews.. He basked in the sun and helped out with some testing.. (timing and the like). He said he had a good time..

We (Sheila and I) were heading to a race in Chicago this last sat morning and he realy wanted to go.. He knew however that there was no way that was going to work out.. He was kind of bummed about that.

Looks like his next race is the Internats..

He stuck around and we cranked up a fire pit at my house that evening..

He is getting BORED... cant blame him.. Im waiting for a call from him today to see if we can get him back in the shop tonight.
