hey rod, what time can i come over tomorrow? i will probably wake up before 9 this time  do you think we can give it a test run tomorrow with the standard servo to turn? :D

Rodney,

This is what I have for you to pick from...

Hitec HS-625MG, HS-81

JR Z590M High TQ, MG

Futaba 9301

Hobbico High Speed Micro CS-12

Let me know what you want me to send you and what kind of arms you need for them. TB

Bill,

These two would be best:

JR Z590M High TQ, MG

Futaba 9301

don't you think? I'm not familiar with the Jr but that sounds perfect for his mono and the 9301 for the tunnel.

Also, if possible would you sell me the 625?? I just bought a Magnum tunnel but don't have a servo for it. Let me know how much and I'll pay through Paypal.

As for servo horns, the tunnel needs the double long arm, the mono a standard arm will work just fine.

Darkhedeos,

the lake is gonna take a while to fill back up. I spoke with the club and they haven't started filling it today so we don't have any where to run just yet. Also, no other boat stuff has showed up yet so there's nothing left to work on.

DarkH,

The next time you come over let's connect the fuel pump that Boater Bill sent you onto the started box I gave you. It's already got the power panel on it. And I'll give you my 12 volt Sullivan starter. The only thing it needs is a small rubber starter cone for the O/B.

I've also got a fuel can for you as well as a brand new fuel can set up system with the fuel filter etc...for it.

I've got to pick up the Sullivan or Du-Bro quick clips for the steering linkage. Franciscan hobbies was out of stock so they should have them by Friday they said.

Rodney,

I will try to ship them out Saturday, if not it will be Monday, I will send them PRI Mail.. TB

hey, i can probably stop by franciscan hobbies before i go to your house. after we get the quick clips, what else do we need?

Darkhedeos,

Franciscan can order the starter cone. Maybe TunnelBill has an old one laying around he can send w/the servos for you?

Franciscan hobbies usually opens at 10:00 am, call and talk to John (415) 584-3919, tell him to order the small pink or baby blue colored starter cone for a 3.5 Outboard. It'll probably cost about $5. It's no rush to get it if he asks because the first time we go to the lake I'll have my starter as well and it has a rubber cone.

Since nothing else has come it's better if you come over Saturday morning rather than Friday. Other wise we'll have nothing to do. Plus, This way maybe some of your boat stuff will come to my house in the mail.

hrmm, i was thinking about painting the boat midnight blue, and putting a white web on the back, like venoms web or something and leavining the bottom of the sponsoms white, so it would be blue if you look at it from the top, and blue and white from the side, do you think this is possible?

a word frome the wise, :p i wouldnt paint a boat a dark color unless you want to get run over :( :( :( it is very hard to see when the boat is dead in the middle of the pond

the boat would look good already if the decals and stickers werent peeling off, is there any way to reapply stickers?

clear cote over the stickers. Havnt tried it yet but heard some good things about it.

Actually all the boat needs is a good wax job and your set. As not2bright said, never paint a little low profile boat a dark color. It'll get hit for sure. You want bright, white is just fine!

Hi DH

Bright is always good for low profile boats and as Rodney is putting all this effort in to getting it together to run I'd suggest just giving it a run and think about a repaint when you know you're happy with it. A few battle scars are not an issue as every race boat has some, or you spend your entire time repainting the thing.

I have to say you guys have really pulled together for this guy and I think your generosity is awesome. I haven't seen a thankyou on here from the young guy so I'm hoping he has sent you all personal thankyou's - I hope you understand that these guys have dug in deep and put their own hard earned $ on the line to get you a boat.

Great stuff guys - My hats off to you. B)
