I just spoke to MECOA and they said that they are fitting 3.5 piston and sleeves right now and they will be ready for shipping in two weeks. Lets see what they say in two weeks.

I've had an order in for the 7.5 Pro since late April. :

They called me a few weeks ago and said the next batch is going out early july. I'm not holding my breath.

1. I've heard that if you hold your breath till you pass out you will automaticaly begin breathing again.

2. I've also been hearing that K&B will be releasing OBs.

Right now I'm tending to believe #1 more than #2.

Just spoke with MECOA they have Piston and sleeves ready for shipping. Part #'s 33-8901 and

33-8902.

It only took them a month longer then they said.

K&B Really hurt themselves BIG TIME I think, WE have had people come out with much better and faster engines. CMB, ROSSI, Tims OS. Why would anyone BUY A K&B???? WHOS to say they dont stop making and shut down again??

why wait for a part, when you get the other engines, there are parts out there to buy, and not at MARKET PRICE.

Yes I ordered a 33-8901 they said it will ship tomarrow.

I really dont know, I think the OS might. Am not 100% maybe someone can clear it up about the stock class.

I have a motor with a sleeve like the one on the left and it's in a water cooled 3.5. Is this a problem since it for the SS? The motor runs fine it's just has a slow responce when giving it the gas at low speeds.

Hi Hunter,

Only problem with using that sleeve in a WC motor is that you odn't get the full advantage of having extended timing - port area. The main limit is the small volume of the cast exhaust. If you could add an SS muffler or a J pipe you will see some real benefits.

I have a Irwin quite pipe on it so its okay?

Since I'm new a this but I know how to pull motors down and reasemble. When it comes to modifying them I'm to

scared that I might mess something up. I do have almost 2 complete motors.

Also since they have pistons and sleeves is it posiable to get a new complete SS and is there any performance gains with putting a J pipe on it?

Hi JD,

I have a question to near the OD of the cylinder with respect the ID of the crank case, are equals with regard to the 12mm old engines or 13mm engines K&B.

The new repairs of piston and cylinder remains to any engine of 13mm crank shaft 3.5 K&B outboard. ???
