I have been out of the hobbie for about 4 years. The last boat I got was an Arotech with a 7.5 Pro. I never got it running right. I was wondering how they are doing now.

Hammer,

I have seen many of 7.5 Pros run very well. Just keep the nitro high and the props small so they can "wind up". You'll be happy with it AND if not, there are about a million people on this forum that will help.

Great runnings!

Hammer,Don't get caught in the high nitro trap. I run 40% redmax, 450 octura prop. runs as fast as anyone in our district. Now the big plus... CONSISTANT...CONSISTANT...CONSISTANT! The boat just runs and runs. I actually have two boats. One is a boat I bought from Jerry Dunlap and one is a wood dumas sprint. They both run fast and very consistant no matter what pond we run at. Try it. It works. Bob Tuttle B)

Actually a lower nitro will give you an easier needle to set. But the higher nitro will give you more power and we all know what that does!

BUT, I HIGHLY recommend using the same percentage in your testing as well as racing. Changing nitro % will affect your setups.

The whole key to the "smaller" engines is to let them "Rev-up"

Just my $.02
