you will be impressed how well the gas version equipped with a bigblock handles speed despite the extra lenght and widht....looking for the 90/101 plans I see minor differences maybe in the final weight ..not really important for heat race.

I saw a bigblock boat run in Huntsville and was definetely impressed, along with the little 12 and 21 boats. That is why i want to use the JAE sponsons. Im building a Gas SAW boat (just for my own personal speeds..not going after record).. the JAE are about the lightest running production sponsons ive seen for a Rigger.

I guess you will be pleased with the JAE sponsons in your saw boat........I'm going to make a pair to be used on my carbon tub rigger .For years my own boat parameters were the SG's riggers but after have seen some japanese videos I thought that I should start to think out of the box and defenetively a huge change happened since jae's introduction.

are the 90/101 sponsons the same size as the gas sponsons?
No...the 90-101 sponsons are narrower......
awesome...anyone selling kits for them, or just gotta print the plans and cut everything? (i got the plans..but nowhere to take em to get blown up)
Call Mark Bullar. He can do this and has the jplotter for plans and you can make the templates. Doc 256-303-6423[bullard's #]

Doc the Jae I build is the gas version equipped with the 1,0 mod motor..The only change I did in the building was reinforce the transon with 1/8 thick carbon fiber sheet, pinned all four aluminium plugs after had one loose in the left sponson probably due to a poor gluying and reduced the turnfin lenght in 1 inch.

Our last tests with the 1667 cup 6,9 showed astonishging potencial with +84,3mph burning 35% nitro..enough for this bigblock in my opinion...seems that the 90 mph barrier can be reach pretty soon.

Mark your suggested prop didn't work with our engine.....boat needs too much straight to lean but the 6717/3 with some little work(diam at 65mm) pushed the boat effortlessly with good top speed...unfortunetely no gps data with this prop.1475 is another good option with the right mods.

Looks good. Our speed of 81 was through the timing lights which is an average speed or a terminal velocity speed. I don't know what the peak speed was. Can't wait till Jan when we can start to test again. The real test is how the 101 Jae will heat race with twins in F-hydro. Doc
