David,

So how did the 21 hydro do in the first round?

I heard that your 45 mono is pretty quick.

I was coming down to the race, but I could not get a

flight in until 2 PM. How is Tom Foley doing?

Have Fun,

Mark Sholund
Mark when I left Go Fast Foley- Friday afternoon -

he had a 1st in a-hyrdo/2nd in Gas Rigger/2nd in Gas Hydro- and Im pretty sure a 2nd or 3rd in B hydro B)

Not sure how twin turned out- but heard he ran well in X-Mono also.

Something about the pass in the grass- LMAO

Okay Dave the boat was quick- BUT- did you finish that first heat of B-Mono

To finish first you must first finish grasshopper :)

Like I said before-

OWN ONE OR CHASE ONE :p

You still coming Mark ??? - going back Sunday- would love to meet ya .

Has nothing to do with the boat it is the person driving it. Only my third race. Don't worry I will get better.

I would rather drive a smoken fast boat and crash than drive a slow Hookenf$%^er. :D

I race for the fun of it not to be a disciple and spread the gospel.

You might not want to spread any gospel, but you might need to start modding engines, that 45rs p/s I'm holding is looking GOOD in my book :)

Well stop holding it in your hand and put it in your eng. I want to know how it runs for you. :D

It's in a cam right now, iv got 4 case/motor styles to test it in, all with different volumes.

Great keep me posted. I will send the next one your way. Has a little diffrent front cut on the transfer. You will have to resize the piston already got the good out of it.This one hase not bin repinched. :D

Thank god! lol

You should get yourself a purple head cam to test with also!

Going to put all my effort into the RS. This is the eng I have. Don't want to go in to many directions and run around in circles. Going to try a 2 plug turbo head set at .006. Pretty much set on the sleeve cuts. Need to spend time on the head now. Cant nail down the detonation problem. Doesn't seam to hurt performance but I think I am leaving a lot on the table.

Made a good showing at the Winter Nat lots of speed. Just have to learn how to drive it. If I time the starts right and hit the first turn first it all over. Just pulls like a mad man and its gone. Need more turn fin now it cares so much speed into the corner and pulls so hard gets lose on exit. Have a plan going to put and extra small trim tab on the right side to plant the nose in the turn more. That way I can still run lose in the straits. When you start going faster the game changes.

Well put a spanking on them to day. Getting better at reading the water. Got two more tomorrow Just have to play it cool and make the right move. Once out front it's all over.

David

what prop are you twisting these days?
Running a x455/3 barr cut 50% of the trailing edge. Stock pitch and cup. Run the strut way pos so just half the prop in th water. Comes off the corner like a rocket. Can catch a boat 1/3 way down the straits by the next corner.

Going to move the eng more forward. Also need a stronger turn fin folded on the last heat and spun out. Going to try some different fin shapes. Next on will be a tear drop with a back edge 90deg. to the hull.

David, where did you get the stuff you used to take the hook out?? Automotive? Marine??

Did you have to break through the gel coat to get it to bond, or just scuff it up??

Here is a link. http://www.fascoepoxies.com/

This the stuff the big boat racers use to contour there hulls. I found this place when I worked in Miami. One of the old guys told me about it. Was hard to find the place but what a gold mind for epoxy. The old man that owns it can mix any thing you need and knows this stuff like the back of his hand. Gust give him a call and he will custom mix any thing.

This stuff is a stock mix.

He got the formulas from the man who made the formula for the red bondo hardener.

Best price you will ever find.

Just sand and put it on. Make sure what ever is under it is not lose or flaking. It is light as a feather.

YA it is a hand full. That is why it is so fast and pulling a big prop :D

Going to change the CG to settle it down a little. It's a work in progress B)

If you get a 21 Rigger I'll get a tunnel.

Pitted next to Otto and spent a lot of time talking.
