Just got in from Huntsville,it was a hoot. Too bad the temp was frigid and too much wind. In the 3 runs we made every time we came back with ice in the boat and the starter belt iced over. Let do it again when it warms up.....PS we had the fastest 12 on the water      we were the only ones dumb enough to get it wet. Lets see the pics of the new GAS GUYS.....

Ah hell you were in the banana belt today......it was -16 degrees below zero today in Mondovi..... :p

I have new Chevy pick-ups driving on my pond....

What a day! I left home this morning and it was 12 degress and when I got back home tonight it was 14 degress. At least down south it was maybe 30 degres. Not a good day for boating on the pond but Mikey and I got alot of boating done in the truck for 8 hrs. I got to talk with alot of great vetran boaters and I soaked up as much info as I could. Shoboat, I know I'm still at level one but I'm learnin.

Thanks to everyone in Huntsville, I got to smell some NITRO today.

Rocky

P.S. Martin, Its time to go back to work soon. Good Luck this year. Go #56

Rod I have been down here for 12 years now so I become acustomed to the more mild weather than we had up in STL plus I like the milder weather down here now compared to the COOOOLD up there! It was nice to see that many dedicated model boaters to even show up with the lousy weather we ended up with. Next time we'll try for some nicer weather. We'll also open it up to anyone that wants to show Jose okay?

Well after 27 years away from rc boating I picked Sat. to get back in to it! I NEVER remembered being in the cold/wind and boating (ok I did live on the gulf coast before) but sure enough there was several other "hard core boaters" out there. It was nice to meet folks and I can see the fun will be had when it gets a bit warmer. (PLEASE WARM UP SOON!) Ok I confess I did not even have a boat with me as it was not ready to run and with the holidays I had very limited work time for the boat. I'll get the motor and radio installed and be ready for the next time around I hope! I must say I felt welcome into the boat "pack" right away.

It was 27 when I passed the Madison County HS on my way back to CHattanooga. I don't think it ever got to 30. On CHattanooga's news tonight, the weather guy said it has been 50 hrs below freezing, with a high tomnommow around 30. WAy cold for us wimpy southerners. At least it may help keep the bugs down some next year.....

It sure was good to see everyone that showed up. The JAE 90 that DAvid was running did pretty well in the 6" chop. Never blew it over.

Bill thought you were going to post the picture of our new GAS boaters.
