"IMPBA membership is required (can sign up for IMPBA on site)"

I will admit that I do not keep up with all of the IMPBA rule changes, but years ago the rule was that one must be a member of IMPBA for 10 days prior to competing in a record event. I guess this old rule has changed?

If my memory serves me right , you can join IMPBA @ an event and set records. There's no limit as far as how long you've been a member.

Wally is correct!
So the rule did change in recent years.

The rule book use to read "must be a member in good standing 10 days prior...."

John Egui had to make his good friend, Tommy Lee, sit out of a record trial in Huntsville because he did not renew his IMPBA membership in time.

Actually Andy that was me that had to do that and I got chewed out by Tom Grannis the president for not looking the other way and Tommy was extremely good about it and agreed, we needed to do it by the book. That why it got changed. You might want to review the rule book there have been a few more changes since then. Thanks to Chris and Lynne the rule book is very easy to review online at www.impba.net now and everyone should take time and look through it.

Thanks Bill I did check the rule book and did not find the rule, but thought it might be in a different location!

Thanks for noticing Bill. I have spent a lot of time in the rule book.

Chris, I agree will Bill. You and Lynne have put some great efforts into the rule book and the IMPBA website.

I like the new photo of Don Pinckert with Andy McCauley on the Hall of Fame page.

I was one of the young guys at the Miami lake that was learning from Don Pinckert in those days (1976).

All of the work put in by the IMPBA Officers and committee members is a Labor of Love!

We are looking forward to the 2016 IMPBA Gas nats!

Thanks Andy. Lynne spent a lot of time on the Hall Of Fame section. It is indeed a labor of love, frustrating at times but rewarding when finished. See you in June in Sellersburg.

Hopefully I will see you guys down there. Boss just gave approval so fingers crossed the weather is calm for some fast runs.

Bill, do you guys have power on the new side of the lake or should I plan on bringing a generator down?

Tyler

No Rick we talked with the city and they would rather not go that route. Check the Space and Rocket Museum Camp ground it's very close and has full facilities. Also reasonably priced.

Bill,

Let us know if any records are breaking in the next few days.

I here there are going to be a fleet of fast boats showing up

with some of the new ABC "Game Changer" record setting propellers.

Thanks,

Mark Sholund
