In heading and first post SD2 .... 29 or 28.75 exactly. Franks post is on about " mono pg.15-20" too lazy to find it again our search is now liberial with results. My boat was very tight and completly unpredictable going in or coming out of turn. Tried everything including talking to Jerry with no luck. Changes were radical but I had nothing to loose. I'm very happy now, boat is fast and very predictable.
OK edited to maket it clear.Only asked because you also posted it as a SD3 on second page follow Jerrys instructions
Make Sure the Rudder Blade is mounted straight on the transom & the Rudder Blade itself is NOT BEND. use a straight edge...I seem to have a very loose hull. Fly's very high in the water no matter how I set the strut. If I push the strut all the way down " metting the keel's glass" and add some neg & 2 oz. under motor. Every incriment in between. Still flys high level on the keel. Too much neg + 2oz. and she'll bow steer 1st turn bouy the wind is blowing at . Slightly less and turns perfect full bore, in fact the spilt second I turn any thing funny it was doing is gone. Over 35 it airs out.
Still haven't got any one to give me a CG on a sd2 there happy with.
I haven't pulled out the tank to see if there some hidden weights up front.
I might try adding more weight and keeping the proper CG.
SAW boat anyone....
