How to blend a seam you don't want?

I have a 1/8 scale 82 Pak my builder built for me. He did, overall, a wonderful job. He's very skilled. However, it became obvious he wasn't accustomed to the specific 82 cowling for the Pak. It has these side flares that extends beyond the natural form of the cowling around the mid point. He nailed the top of the cowl and the side vent, but the side extenders are a bit off.

I am trying to find out the best way to blend the seam to the side of the cowl. As you can see in the photo(s), if I primer as is, you will clearly see the seam. How do I blend the seam so you don't see any seam? I hope I am making sense, lol. Thank you in advance for any information! I can't believe how helpful this community has already been to me. I can't tell you enough how thankful I am for that.

sand well and bondo, spot putty, blend and then prime.
some bondo only works over a primer, so make sure you follow product directions.

Ruff the seam & small area around it.
Use light cloth (2 ounce or less) over the seam with epoxy & cloth.
Once cured, feather the repair with sand paper. With spreader, apply light weight Bondo filler.
Feather sand again. Clean and prime it. Fill & feather as needed

I like using West Systems with a generous portion on the 410 balloons over Bondo. It sands easy and is tough. Stronger and lighter with increased adhesiveness. Used razor knife blades make great spreaders for blending.
