I came up with this hardware for my FF .12

Not having hardware bolts in the transom has been really nice, I don't have to worry about the usual problems with leaking, crushing and coming loose.

The strut is made of Delron and has worked just fine so far.

I used a K&B drive dog because I forgot to buy a new one, the fit to the prop is quite nice.

Hmmm maybe a FF.12 ARR is in the future... Mike feel like doing into production?

Adam

Thanks Gene and Don.

Adam, how much money do you think I could make building an ARR?

Mike

I don't really know what one would charge for something like this but I wouldn't expect 150-200 dollars would be out of line. It's a pretty easy kit to build but I would like to have a perfect one. (not like mine!)

I think $199.99 for a built and sealed hull and holes for the included hardware would be more than a deal. And by hardware I would think just what you made. Send the lucky buyers to Gary P. for the Misc shafts, drive dog, flex hex, etc.

do you think you could make a profit at that price?

I think if a guy was to do a run of 6 or so he could save enough time to make a little money at $199.99. But to do 1 would take too long.

Mike

You could charge more industry standard like prices of $250 or $300. Those Miss Buds are $299.99 and they sell like hot cakes even with all their flaws. A FF.12 would make one of those look silly any day.

whew, $70 to build a wood boat would be a steal. Mike, I'll buy 10 at $199 and sell 'em for $300 on fleabay
