Has anyone had any problems getting things from HobbyKing? I have placed 3 orders in the past 90 days and have had trouble with all three of them. 2 of the orders were placed over 30 days ago and I have still not gotten the products.

Would be interested if anyone else is having trouble with them.....

Mr. Davis,

I have seen plenty of folks over on the helicopter forums having the same issues. Frankly, they're a chinese company, and one that I'll never do business with. I understand that they have a "warehouse" in the US now. To me, it is a non-issue. I've seen too many complaints.

Hope your stuff arrives soon.

I ve got a couple orders recently placed. The orders did say allow up to 45 days. I did a little investigating prior to order placement. In fact I cancelled a prior back order that I had placed and I received a timely paypal refund. I think buyer protection from Paypal is a must in case there is an issue. However I have also heard from many satisfied customers.

A note of interest, I just received an order from Castle Creations. In its literature it indicated many items they sell were assembled or came from China.

I've placed several orders with them. Had no problems getting what I ordered, it just takes too long. Ive found some of their electronics items can be ordered from different USA dealers.

Marty what and where is it coming from? If not the USA store and batteries you can expect Atleast a month.

Marty,

I have bought quite a bit from them with no real problems. Sometimes it takes a while to get the product but I don't recall it ever taking that long.

I had problems, like you, with the Hobby King scam operation.

I am still waiting for two orders (paid for) (over three months ago from their US warehouse) that are some where(?) but not delivered or shipped by these people-

I have 'jumped thru all the hoops' suggested here by other modelers here & their web site info with no results-

I am not 'holding my breath' waiting for my parts to get here-

And won't buy anything from them again- I've given up on them now........sad......

I think they really all most give a sh.. if I order from them......

So......pass the word on this.....I am.

We do have some very good mail order/merchants here that have everything needed for my boats.

Guess where I'm buying my needed parts etc. in the future?

Dave:

I have had the same problems 3 times with them. Had to stay on the phone for over 2 hours trying to get a refund on a GPS unit that I ordered. No refund, but a credit.

The tip on the USA Warehouse is a good one. They have some really good stuff at a GREAT price but the problems with them are enough to not do business with them.

Thanks for your input....

I have done a lot of business with hobbypartz with good results, I believe they are out of California. Same stuff but bit higher prices then hobbyking

Kevin- I also am buying what I can from Hobbypartz- with great results also-

Also Hobby Express (which was Hobby Lobby)-

And other suppliers of goods that I need-

Yes, HK does have CHEAP pricing- but in my case very expensive in time & dollars (to not receive ordered parts)-

Also- The one motor that I did get from them is a POS! Very poor quality......not usable in the boat that it was purchased for.......so I lost there also overall-

And yes- it was cheap in price.......my bad...........

NOT a good way to do business- we can only hope this mob will die a quick death soon-

Thanks-

Just a follow up here.... I ordered a motor and a number of batteries from the global warehouse in the above post. These items show coming from Hong Kong and arrived today. When ordering it looked like they were coming via Swiss Air. I expected a 30 day wait. Somehow they made it in about 6 days.
