Loved the event .. truth be told if more racers helped out on the officials tower we can get 4 rounds in. The host club had way to much to do and not many from outside their group helping out. If next year we all chip in just a little on the tower we can get everyone their 4 rounds. I loved the format and the quality of competitors. I look forward to next year and will practice the full course mill.

had a blast at hobart ! this was my first year going and the first time some of the best tunnel guys around got to see the new boat in action. my new boat ran great. even thou the weather was terrible on saturday for the 21 tunnels.

im disapointed that i didnt finish the second round with only a 1/4 lap to finish. i had a chance to win the stock class and get my first green jacket but choked. anyway this only makes me want to try harder next year. ill make plans to attend in 2013

Rick,

The Clock tower is a very special award. I won it the first year, now you pretty much have to race a twin to win it. (you need that 4th round to get enough points)

The fella that built it was the local dentist for years in Hobart, He hand built the thing.. Fantastic job!

Mike,

This year, we did not count the 4th round (twins) in the point calculation for the Clocktower Trophy. It came down to a tie in points and we looked at the number of boats competed against to break the tie.

The Clock Tower winner was perfect. Given the fact that Buck was on his game in every class he ran. Most of us brought the A game some prevailed most did not. In the end the race was awesome. The Event was even better, how do you make it better good luck with that.....

And nitro belt also! They believe that gas is for getting to and from the races and lawn equipment.

Come on guy,s -- give the part,s wash rigger,s a break -- after all they won last year and come in first and second in Unlimeted this year ----- and not all the heats were in bad water - dont get me wrong I still love my nitro better but give credit were do

Hey that's me <g>

Today an envelope showed up in the mail from Jim and Janet from Hobart they are the nicest people and don't even race boats. Inside it was a hand written note explaining that I had come a long way to race and they thought I would like to have the contents of the envelope. In the envelope were two copies of the photo and caption about 5"x7" cut from the Times newspaper and one was laminated. I tell you I have raced all over the western United States and have never been made to feel more welcome by a community than we were in Hobart (pronounced "Hobert") . I can't wait till next year!

What an awsome gesture! It was great meeting you Eric, even though you guys were a bit rowdy at times. Lol
