Brian and Mic,

I might have to get in touch with you guys. I kind of a dinosaur when it comes to programming these many function radios. I certainly agree that the instructions are kind of vague. I may need some help, if you wouldn't mind. I'm going to give it a try this weekend. I'll try it first in my Minisprint.

Thanks,

Bob

Bob,

My cell is 239-841-0204. Not sure how much help I will be as I did a lot of hunt and peck and fumbled through programing. The roller wheel takes you through the options and pushing down on it initiates your choices. The other buttons seem to bring you back out of the screen your on.

Very nice system. Telemetry features for monitoring your run could be very helpful (only when using the proton receiver). I understand the system can warn you (audibly/if enabled, with your own warning file) of limits that you set for volts, speed, rpm and temp. Unclear but I did read that you have an option to have the radio voice back either speed or rpm readings. Nevertheless, there will be a time delay between the read out and audio data. You can even play your song play list while driving your favorite craft! Imagine that, driving your 90 hydro to Bad Company! Anyway, I really wanted to know how to install the RPM measurement system. This system uses hall effect and requires that you mount magnets on the rotating shaft...probably in this case the flywheel. I could be wrong. I was told that magnets coming off while clearing the motor in the pit at 10K RPM could be a bad thing. Could boaters expand on how to embed magnets for hall effect use? In addition to this, another company has infrared pick up, does anybody use this technology to acquire RPM data?
