Light weight, easy to use, small, a whole lot of AWESOME. My favorite as well. Have a couple of them hanging.

It's surprising that no one has come up with a clone of some sort.. Is the design protected or owned by Hobbico?

Once I get a set in my hands, I will look at feasibility of bringing them back. Most folks don’t have a clue how much is invested in doing something like that, but I’ll look into it. The good thing is they are universal across the board in terms of what kind of boats can use them.

They aren’t really considered a 1/4 turn fastener, they are more of a push to fasten, quarter turn to release fastener. But still, same concept.

I've been searching for some more of them everywhere. All my boats have them but I need more for new builds .
My last boat I was short one of the spring receptacles so I made one from the smallest binder clip I could find. Works but not pretty

Found the ones I have, and another set that RCR makes in house. I'm sure you could reproduce them with the equipment you have. In the mail on Monday.
