Does anyone make/sell a waterproof GPS telemetry system compatible with Futaba? Maybe with just a sensor that would go on the deck as appose to the entire unit? Just looking to capture MPH with the TX and nothing else.

Just about all my boat have a cowl so I don’t think putting something in the radio box would do me any good. Thought??

This is not compatible with any RC system, it is used with your cell phone and is very easy to use!

SKYRC GNSS PERFORMANCE ANALYZER GSM020
What are you doing with it when you have it in the boat? Are you putting it in the radio box? What happens if it gets wet? Will it work under a cowl?

It looks cool from what I can see.

There’s two differant ones the one that costs more is the better one get ahold of the grim racer he will know my buddies have them Pete and Adam

Futaba 7px transmitter (and up) with the SBS—01G GPS sensor. That sensor does not work with their/my 4pm TX (or models below). Luckily they allowed me to return the sensor.

I put my SKYRC GPS in a balloon. If I have room in the radio box I put it there, if not I put it in a sandwich bag and wrap it with a piece of a pool noodle and place it somewhere in the boat . The GPS works under cowls and radio box lids ( if they aren't made out of carbon fiber).
On my A tunnel , I even taped it on the CG on top of the cowl. Looks funny ....... but it is just for checking the speed with different settings and props.

If your going with the sky rc gps I removed the battery and soldered in a servo lead so I just plug it into a spare port on the receiver this way you don’t have to charge it ,when you turn the receiver on it sends power to the gps.Mine got wet and took the battery out.

I ended up buying two Futaba units, got them set up in two of my boats, took all of 10 minutes each. Easy with no problems at all. Then put the boat in the bed of my truck and went for a drive! Works great!! Can’t wait to try them at the pond.
