I also have more G-Morty Gas Drives in stock and ready to go. Let me know what you need.

James,

This is the type of drive unit I would like to run on my scale tunnel. I beleive they are home made from MHZ type drives which is easy enough to do but does anyone have more information?

Good luck on that one David... All the people that have made those do not plan to produce or even share their plans on the specs of building one. :p It kills me how people are hoarding the plans! They don't even plan to do anything with them...

You should just dive right In and build one with a better looking offshore mid than In the pics you posted. It should be preety easy eh.?.

I heard that you can get that unit from over seas some where but the thing cost some where in the neighborhood of 1,200 U S dollars. That a little steep to me when you can get the GMOrty drive for 3 some thing. Hell for that kinda money plus the price of the boat you can put a nice down payment on a real seebold tunnel hull

hey guys can i join the conversation here, just got the old DPI 48 inches tunnel hull, i would say thank you very much to my major sponsor :p Mike Crawford of Woodstuff Tunnel.. go gas tunnel go!!

Hi Jul,

I saw Mikes DPI at the last Badger race a few weeks ago.

Someone has put a lot of work into that hull with the new wood bottom.

They did a really nice job on it too!

I'm glad to see it went to a good home ant to someone that will run it.

Now your work begins adapting it for the gas motors.

Good luck with it and if you need anything, give me a shout.

If I don't see you guys at the tunnel nationals, see ya in K-zoo next time around.

How are every body's gas projects coming along any body run their new boats yet?? how about some pictures. We are going to try and run our this week end if the rains hold off wish me look it will it's maiden voyage :( :( I think we should be awright I mean after all it's just a BIG tunnel right

Two boats available. I havent heard anything from the other guys.

David, Derrick is right. Thos guys like to keep secrets. You wont get any info out of them. Doesnt make sense to me, but to eachis own. In my opinion, its overkill. No better than a G-Morty Drive or Lawless, and it has to be heavier. Thats a big chunk of metal. It looks a little more scale but, there is nothing scale looking about a Zenoah anyway.... :)

David, here is a picture of the windshiled frame you wanted. Its all stainless steel including the bolts, nuts and washers. The price is $49.00 shipped. It looks great on the big boats, especially if you fit a clear lense behind the trim.

Are there any videos of them actually racing? I'd like to see how they handle a turn at 1/2 to full speed and with other boats on the water..

Walt, the measurements are 43" long from tip to tip, 34.5 inches from the "hook" lip to the back of the cowl, about 6 inches overall in height, 4.75 inches wide at the hook on the bottom, and the over all wisth is around 6 inches.

I need to know how much the g-morty gas drive weighs and how much set back It has...

Also Is the pipe easily available?

James,

Thanks for the windshield pic, I will take one, just go to your site or what? I will set a clear shield under with a diver.

I figured the gear drive was not the best way to go but it looks good. I have a brand new lawless G drive that I have already CNC'd a adapter for Lehner 30 series motors or Plettenberg 370's, same blot pattern. Remember I am the electric guy. Do you carry the good IV bags in 500 ml or 1000ml? I know I will need to add a fair amount of weight to the nose.

Hi JAMES,
Do you have any information about the outboard pipe for our 1/4 tunnels?

Hey Carlos you can get in touch with Greg Mortlock on here under the tittle GMorty and he can hook you up with the pipe for the gas out boards. It is a Carbon Fiber pipe made by Salsbarry he can get you the pipe and header too for the Zenoah gas motors.

Derick if I am not mistaken the foot / drive as you call it weighs 2.5 pounds maybe a little less. I will have to measure mine to see what the set back is ???are you talking from the sponcens or are you talking from the pivot pin?????????

And I assume you are talking about the dog drive where the propeller mounts to the foot. And as I mentioned in an earlier post you can get the pipe and header from either James @ OES or Greg Mortlock/GMorty his e-mail addy is [email protected] he can also give you the information on his product you want/need.

Thanks! 2.5 Is close enough. I mainly am Interested In how far the center of the motor from the transom Is. I am building a hull that might take the OB and I need to do a weight/flotation test.
