Joe Calegero stopped by our lake to do a little test and tune of a new tunnel he built.

Got a little video of a couple runs.

Pretty neat setup on the steering in this one. It has one huge monster servo. Runs one of Joe's custom lowers with a Zen for power.

Running nicely.

Looking at the transom and hull it looks like a modified Woodstuff. Nice running boat Joe. Get her ready for the WTC....... ;)

Upon closer inspection that looks like Mike Luszcz's early ML-Boatworks 480 hull, but with a lot of center and transom changes. Maybe Mike can chime in later.

Yup, That is the Original prototype "L&L Special" The hull that started it all! Looks like some sponson mods were done, and the transom mod to fit the lower unit. Running good! That will be 4 ML Boatworks gas tunnels going to Charleston! Good luck! Mike

Boat looks good Shane, you definitely got something for Mitch with that one....

Haha, you guys just thought you saw a good gas tunnel run last year at the WTC and Fall Nats. Just wait until April, we're raising the bar even higher. ;)

Now you know what I have let's see yours LOL

yah it was the L&L boat

Shane
Shane,

Here is a pic of my ML-Boatworks GS480 Tunnel. It was winning its first race, the Winternats, after four heats of racing, but an unfortunate incident in front of me took me out of contention in the Shootout. Maybe James Beasley will post his GS480 pic as well. Bubby Lowe's should be ready soon. 4 Gas Tunnels at the World Tunnel Championships pretty much tells me ML-Boatworks is ready to change the rules in that class this year. Mitch, Mike can get one to you in time for the race if you call soon!!!!!!......... ;)

Just a figure of speech "tunnel time". Life is good for sure!!!! I like "foodstuff" as well, chased with some "beerstuff"....... :D

See ya at the WTC. Post a pic when you can. I believe we all are sizing up the competition. Would love to see that "foodstuff" Woodstuff tunnel...... ;)

Hahaha........I had one of his lowers in my hands at the Winternats, but opted to continue to work on the LawLess G Drive to see if I can continue to keep it from breaking shafts. Its what I started with and I don't give up easily. Only time will tell if that was the right decision. Joe is a great guy and enjoyed meeting him in Fla....... ;)

May I ask why you have trim tabs on your tunnel? That's not normal is it ?

Hahaha. Nothing I seem to do here lately is normal...... Somehow when I took that pic of my tunnel, trim tabs from an earlier mono pic transferred onto that pic. I can't believe they look as though they are actually on that boat. Sorry for the confusion Shane........

JK.....it was a concept of mine from years ago to "fool" the boat on where the actual CG is located by extending the ride pad out past the rear sponsons and attach trim tabs to give me the ability to use that last 2" to bring the nose down instead of adding weight. I run the engine at 0 degrees.

It's totally concept and seems to work, but it would take cutting the ride pads off the boat, to actually check to see if there is a difference in where the CG needs to be. It doesn't appear to affect the turning ability of these hulls. I am using standard #6 steel rods and dual quarter scale servos to turn this boat.

I am still reworking a lawless to make it bulletproof , I am having some success , but not 100% its sitting on the band saw as I type.

Don't be too quick to cut. I have greatly reduced cable breakage through redesigning the prop shaft assembly and getting the right cables. Joe Petro at Zippkits is working on 6mm square cables for us as we speak. He should have them in stock soon. If you need help with getting your setup and lower corrected without cutting it, let me know. Thanks,
