Have you checked with Radio South.
Back in the day, they were the "go to" for radio repairs

They still around?....back in the day they 'hot rodded' my 3EGX and made a lot of improvements to it, especially range.
Worked very well with one of those short, loaded heli antennas.

sorry.. meant 4PK.. a new transmitter antenna was needed.

yes.. they dont "sell them" to the public however.. (Unless that policy has changed, call to check that out).. I dont know the current status of that.. (FCC stuff from there point)
