Lets look at this like i have a boat for sale. If i post a Item here for sale it is a first come deal. I don't care who you are if you say you want the item i have for sale it is yours. If i post a item for sale and with in 1 min of posting it someone send me a pm about the item and then 1 min later someone else sends me a pm about the item the first guy has it unless he tells me he don't want it. then i go to the next guy and let him know the first guy backed out on me. That is the only fair way to sell something. And if you say i want the item but i don't have the money right now well if you get the money up and i still have the item then you can buy it if no one else is buying. I understand all the fuss over it i loose deals on e-bay when someone waits until the last 5 sec to out bid me but that is all part of the game on there. And the deal about pic's and a price is a got to have thing. Deal about the seller having 25 posts is a good idea to. I might not have 25 post yet but i still think it is a good idea. I have been took two times online buying from ppl that never sent me my stuff. If i make a trade with someone i like to cross ship with A tracking number i think a trade is just that a trade you should get your item in the same time frame as the other guy. Yes i say make some hard rules for the for sale forum. if ppl don't like them then oh well go sell it on e-bay. Ok i will shut up now.

Guys,

It's like this.......

I've got something to sell. I post it on IW. I get a number of responses to my listing and I sell it. It's nobody's business but mine and the buyer's as to how much money changed hands or if the buyer was the first to respond or not. If someone offers to buy it and I choose to sell it to someone else, that's my business. Maybe I'd rather Mr. Black get it as opposed to Mr. Green because I know that Mr. Green will just put it on the shelf and never use it, or maybe just the opposite, he'll have it trashed in a month. My business. Period. If you don't like it, don't try and buy what I've got for sale. I've bought many items through PM's, and I'll continue to do so. And, I've also sold many items through PM's, and I'll continue to do so. As long as the seller posts that the item(s) in question have sold, I see no reason to regulate how the deal goes down.

As for the pics........ I see no ultimate need for them. At least no need to make them manditory to post something for sale. Some people have trouble posting pics. Either due to lack of technical expertise or some sort of hardware/software complication. Maybe they don't own a digital camera. Is that a reason to deny them permission to sell on IW? NO.

As for the minimum post thing...... I'm totally opposed to it. I've registered on half a dozen RC forum sites, solely with the intention of selling pistons and connecting rods. I have been dinied on every one of them because I don't have the minimum number of posts required before posting in the "For Sale" section. So I've got two options: The high road and the low road. The high road is to let it go and hope word of mouth does it's magic and the guys who would be interested find out about what I offer. The low road is to start posting a bunch of garbage on topics I have no clue about or any real interest in so I can get my posting count up. Do we really want that? I know THEY don't. You have to know that if a swindler wants to post something for sale, they will do just that. I, on the other hand, have a viable product/service they most of those guys will never find out about because of some idiotic rule about minimum posts. Pointless.

BTW, I agree totally with Mike Z.

Thanks. Brad.

So what happens when someone shows interest in the item your selling, but has questions. Then someone comes along afterwards and says "I'll take it!" who gets it then? Surely not the responsible buyer who is trying to cover their @$$ by asking questions before they shell out the cash... The buyer should be able to sell his item how he's see's fit, as long as its fair. But pics are good :)

I don't like posting on every item that's for sale, It's nobody's business what I'm buying and what I'm paying for it. I've lost things this way also but I'm not crying over it. it happens. and I feel if some one asked a question on it first then some one says I'll take it the first person should have first dibs on it period.

Terry

Terry,

Nope.

Money talks....... You know the rest. If the seller sits and waits on someone to make up their mind, he may lose his chance to sell at all. The first committed buyer is the new owner. I, too have missed out on things I wanted to buy. I wasn't quick enough, that's all. I got over it pretty easily, though. ;)

The next thing you know, somebody will get on here whining about something they would have liked to have bought selling before they even saw it was posted. They'll be wanting a 24 hour waiting period between posting and closing the sale.

Where does it stop?

Thanks. Brad.

Mike, around here if you place an ad in the newspaper and it says "No early sales" then you don't sell it. Tell them to come back after your yard sale opens. I have enough problems with garbage pickers around here on trash pick-up day, I wouldn't want to have a yard sale!

You also noticed that cabin fever has already started huh? Usually it doesn't hit until around March! Some people need to get outside and play before the lakes do freeze over. :D

I know i sold a few things and having pms and emails and on the post it can get all mixed up.I got caught up in a deal like that where the person said i will take it but didnt check all the pms, emails, etc. They were ticked off.:angry:So i been saying to post it on the for sale post so its easy for me.:lol:Terry i know where your coming from.

Don't you all have boats to build, work on or test? Surely there must be motors that need bearings, a hull that needs painting, ... something ... anything. Reading all this one would think it's the middle of January with 2 feet of snow on the ground.
