I am going to send this out to all the entries and waiting list so I will just post it here and send it out also.

The Brandon Model Boaters and the Tampa Model Boat Assn held their organizational meeting last evening to plan for the upcoming 2015 Nitro Winter Championships.

We have determined that the best motel for the contestants to save $$$ is the original motel (Motel 6/Days Inn at Tampa Fairgrounds). The room rate for a room with 2 double beds is $59.99. The phone number to the motel to make your reservations is: 813-623-5121 and the address is: 9942 Adamo Drive, Tampa, FL 33619. Tell them that you are part of the RC Racing Group.

As we indicated in earlier emails, we are spending ALL moneys toward prizes and things to make this race memorable. We will provide food both days at lunch for the competitors. We are having some really cool hats made that each competitor will get in their package. The winners of the championship round in each class, will get a hat with embroidered "winner" statement on a special hat. Trophies will be presented to 1, 2, 3 place in the championship round. The winners of the championship rounds in each class will receive a nice gift certificate for merchandise at the supplier of their choice. It should be an amount that will make you smile. We sold out all the sponsorships so there will be a substantial amount of money's toward this. You will get raffle tickets for drawings during the race for prizes and products supplied by our sponsors.

The Brandon Pond will be open for access at daylight on the 23rd of January, 2015. We will have someone to show you where and how to park your trailers etc. PLEASE do not drive across the soccer field at ANY TIME as the county is unhappy with us if we do that. Open water will start at approximately noon on the 23rd.

Remember to get your 2015 NAMBA Renewal done prior to the race. If you don't, you can actually pay at the race and fill out a renewal application.

Be aware that the date for payment for your race registration is January 2, 2015. If not paid, your slot may be filled by those on the wait list.

At this time, the race is completely full in the number of class heats but there are are a few spots left to fill those heats. The classes with a few spots are: B Mod Tunnel, C Mono, Scale Hydro and Sport 40.
