Guys,

Just spoke with Bill on the phone. NO ONE can enter now and have not been able to enter. He is asking that ALL STOP trying to get into the site. It is getting bombed with continual attempts to get in. He cannot fix the problem with everyone trying time and again.

BTW, Otto is pulling your chains. He entered Hobart earlier today and not the Fall Nats as NO ONE can get into the site, including me. I just spoke with Otto on the phone and he admitted to spoofing you all and some fell for it. And that is why he is called the Godfather!

Bill just called me back. Since 6 pm, there has been almost 8,000 attempts to get into the website. People are continuing to hit the refresh button and is adding to the numbers trying to get in. The website cannot get bombed like this and expect to work. EVERYONE get off the site, try to get back on ONE TIME and ONLY ONE TIME and wait for it to load up. It may take a few minutes but access should come. If that does not work, repeat the process.

There is no time set for the website, only a day. I have to manually change the date at the time I want it to open up. So that is why 06/30 was showing up as the entry date. Last year it started a midnight and I got many complaints from people having to stay up late. And the system also crashed but not like this. So 6 pm was chosen this time. The attempts today are 10 times more than last year. I cannot win it seems like. Just be patient guys.

That just means it gets bombed on Sunday night and blows up again. I have sat here after doing as John asked and watched the little "connecting" icon spin in a circle for 15 frikkin' minutes and not get in on top of being in front of this damn computer for over 2 hours to enter this race instead of getting work done. John if this is going to continue to be a problem then you may have to go back to the old fashioned way with mail in entries. While you might not like it that way it's absurd for people to be stuck sitting for hours in front of their computers just to enter a race. :angry:
