Craig,

Did you test the twin before you left? You may have done the right thing running the single in F, probably more reliable!!

We should have the DSQ rule for taking out other boats in the AMPBA! The number of times I have been flipped over with the Kingy is beyond belief... :'(

I knew you would adapt to local conditions (ie their beer!) :p

Replace the Rossi with a CMB Vavola. Built for gear drive, next best thing to a Mac 21. ;D

Seadunker!! :p

Dont need to know about the 'stuff'.... : :)

Dont run your boats off Niagra falls!

Good to hear you're having fun!

Bring home the silverware!!

Nitrocrazed racing: I had a 21 Stinger too...

Hi gang! I just got home a few minutes ago, about 12:40 AM. Craig is taking home some trophies, about 7 of them! We had a great time considering the weather. I used up the minutes on my Cell phone real fast so that's why you haven't heard from me. Lotza stories to tell you. Met a lot of great people there and a lot of other people there too. Hopefully Phil thomas and Craig will be posting pix when they get home. I've got about 4 rolls of film shot. I will post some here then send some CD-ROM's to Tom ASAP. More stories coming tomorrow after I get the truck and trailer unloaded.

If you've seen the results, Eric didn't do so hot. Too bad, we thought that we'd have something for them, the weather completely screwed us up.

:) good to see you made it back Ron... I think I will head up to Niagra Falls today or tomorrow... back to Chicago later in the week... Will try downloading all my pics later too.

EMS Racing yes its a seadunker but its a FAST seadunker!!! LOL

Oh and Ian....

I will let you race your 90 mono against the fastest 90 mono in the US... mine... LOL (guess who won straight line in the US1 trials... hehehehe)

EMS Racing lets use a size 6 hook and see who bites???

There were alot of boats that had alot of potential. However, the weather didn't cooporate.........

one time in 40 hydro..... out of 5...... enough said......

mono boats had the advantage on the SAW day... Friday......

Craig,

I'm biting!!!

Congrats on second place for 90 mono in the US1 standings!

I did see you won the SAW trials, what did that work out for speed anyway, I just see times? I see you were a little off the pace for the oval trials tho! :p

Just think how well you could have gone if you hadn't dunked it twice! :p ;D

I'm liking monos less now, but I may just have something going at the nats to give you a run!

Nitrocrazed racing: I CAN beat seaducers.....

ahh yes oval trials....

Went out in rough water and did a slow one first and was going to hammer the second attempt. There was a timing failure on my first and to cut a long story short I managed to get only one attempt so I was very conservative looking for points.

And the 'ducer' has been re-tweaked over there so it is way faster than it was at Adelaide!!! Amazing how many new tricks you learn over here... Bring it on!!!

Oh and does the 100 like the same induction openings?

EMS Racing I came I saw I buggered off...

Craig,

Yep, the 100 likes teh same induction timings. ;) With the right tweaks it ends up with more torque than a Mack truck! ;D I dont think there are props made that it could use in a rigger, but a mono or a cat is another story! How about an A100 spintcat? :p

By the way do you have any more A100's? 8)

Nitrocrazed racing: Time to beat the Seaducers again...

;D hey craig in your last heat of multi eng. hydro at least i did'nt have to get the fire extinguisher out due to that dns you had DID NOT SMOKE ha ha

Norm, that was scary and weird! For those that didn't know what happened, Craig was starting both motors, doing the port side first then as we were starting the second one, a bunch of smoke came out of the port stuffing tube and filled the radio box with smoke. The flex cable had twisted, destroying the stuffing box tube. Thanks again to the Good Ole Boys in Ernie LeFleur's pit area for the help in getting Craig's boat repaired and back on the water. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the big guy running the Bad Influence tunnel boat and owns a Body Shop.

If anyone meets Harry Gerhart, that guy is one of the craziest and funniest people that I have ever met! I have some pix of him trying to launch what was left of his "F" Hydro in a runoff. They brought the back half down to the pits with Harry driving it with his invisible radio! You had to be there! ;D ;D ;D ;D

:)hey ron that was mike who was ernie's pit man

he was one kool charictor, also i believe he's codies

dad, i wish i could have sampled some of that mesquite

bbq they had going that one day, it smelled up the whole place! must have been good

How did craig's twin go?? i know its a good boat it used to be mine and won the Aus nationals at chrissy with 2 K90's in it!

He put new A-90's in it and they were both new. The Internats is not the place to break them in at. The port side motor was a Bear to get going but the other one started and ran fine. It only hit the water once and that was in the final round. It went about 70 feet before it died. We even tried to run it once with only one motor after we quickly removed a prop. BTW, that is one heavy Mutha!

I sold the boat to craig less motors and pipes, he fitted the a90's to it,

the boat is not that heavy, the old sponsons that i had on it were a lot heavier than the ones that are on there now,

it is a great boat in both the rough and the smooth water, with the k90's in it we had it running 90+ in oval racing trim.

Dale

Dale,

We had a split pressure line on the left engine... never got to launch it. Have new tanks on the way from Grimracer So that should help as well. Yes the new sponsons are lighter but the finish needs some serious attention. Used West Systems on filling the holes but it seems to come apart easily. Need better finish out of the mould.

Oh and Magilla you should use quality shafts and shaft tubes next time. One of yours lasted exactly 25 seconds!!!!

Will respray when I get home then take it out for a run. :)

EMS Racing all I can say is OOPS

Craig,

i know what you mean for the sponsons, ill try another set for you,

also the shafts lasted fine for me for over 2 years, they are hughey shafts no cheap sh!t there,

there is this thing called greese, it helps lube the shafts, :p :p :p

Dale

Norm, those Boys can cook! I know what you mean about the BBQ that night, I was drooling too! I went up there one night and they had a Gumbo or something going, I got a taste of that. I put a pic of Mike in another area with you just on the right edge of the shot. I know I have more with better shots of you in them that I will post later along with shots from the retrieve boat and others that turned out pretty good for my old SLR camera.

Dale,

Well 2 years for a shaft no wonder it went.... Yes it was greased!!!! Will replace the other one when I get home too...

Ron,

Wont be coming through that way unfortunately and I fly out Monday. In Milwaukee now sampling the local product!!!! HEHEHE....

EMS Racing Now it really is Miller Time!!!!

Nope,

Looks like I can kiss my 27 meg stuff goodbye... :(

Still going thru Qantas to get something back for them in the event they dont show up but they have limited liability clauses...

Not a real problem because all it was was 2 RX and one TX Module for a JR Radio. I still have my transmitter and the TX Module for home so I can live without those bits. Also lost the lid to the radio hatch for the twin 90 but made a plastic one while in the US so thats no problem either.

EMS Racing Now where did I leave that spanner???
