I just got off the phone with Craig. He is now in Chicago somewhere near the Sears Tower. He may be taking the Amtrak to Detroit then coming the Campground. He is waiting for one important package that hasn't arrived yet, his radio equipment! I told him that I'd loan him my extras if he needs them.

Want to bug him? Call 312-601-3337.

LOL Why does this conjure up thoughts of "Crocodile Dundee"?

Propjockey Racing.....G'day, Mate! ;)

Yeah, especially when there are so many other movies more representative of Australian Culcha like "Romper Stomper", "Priscilla: Queen of the Desert" and the "Mad Max" series! :p

Hey PJ,

Craig is NOT like Crocodile Dundee! In any way!

Nitrocrazed racing: We STILL haven't forgotten that Simpson's episode. > :(

"The Matrix" & "reloaded" was filmed here in Sydney.

I have to go to the town where the mad max movies and that other desert movie Ian mentioned were filmed every 6 months or so for work. It's a S#@t hole......

Craig Chenco as Crocodile Dundee - ROTFLMAO :D :D

Well here I am in Chicago.... had a few (read few dozen) beers and all looks good!!! may have to answer to Qantas for a fuel tank leakage nut whats a lil nitro between friends!! LOL

EMS Racing Cleveland rocks... well I am sorta close to cleveland

My Drew Carey CD is in the truck if that'll make you feel closer.

I loved hearing his Aussie accent, it'll probably rub off on me after spending 7-8 days with him. Eric is already practicing it. ;D

Shrimp on the Barbie!

Wet Paint Racing, what the #*%^ did he say?

Re: Shrimp on the barbie....

We actually call them "prawns" down here! Shrimp is a "Seppo" term.

Craig - be sure to fill them alll in on the Aussie Lingo while you are there!

We do get some Aussie and Kiwi TV here so we've learned some of the language. We call them prawns here too. Large shrimp (an oxymoron).

What's a Billibong? I've never smoked any Billi. ;D :p

Ron,

If you want a good one, ask EMS what kind of 'STUFF' does he get into down under...

Mark..

The Aussie version of Stuffed must be different than from up here. He told me last night that he was stuffed after 20 hours on the plane. We'll talk a lot I assume. I don't know who'll be a worse influence on who!

Wet Paint Racing, PARTY TIME!

I got another call from Craig late this morning. He is heading up to Grand Rapids, staying the night there then heading for Milford in the morning. Boy, are they going to find out how much fun the traffic is coming out of Chicago on a Holiday weekend. I wouldn't drive through that on a bet! BTW, his radio equipment is till a no-show. I've got 2 of them packed just in case.

Gener,

your version of 'stuffed' is not the version of what I was told. A co-worker went down under for 6 months. At least he told me of 'stuff' and not 'stuffed'.. Sorry, don't recall which part of the island he was on.. From what I was told, doubt very much they'd have this term listed on that site, which they don't..

Mark...

Hey Mark,

Very true, the slang might change meaning in the different areas of the country,

Gene ;D

Hehe, told ya Craig would find beer to his liking!

Hey Craig,

You are supposed to empty your fuel tanks BEFORE you put the boats on the plane!! No radio is a bit of a drama tho! :-

Nitrocrazed racing: I dont touch THAT stuff!

Stuff & stuffed can be used as a substitute for that F word.

As in -

"I've been driving all night and I'm stuffed"

"I couldn't give a stuff"

"stuff this for a joke"

Or you might here Craig say

"Mate, Some drongo lost my flamin' radio's and now I'm stuffed"

He he he ;)

I have to get over there next year and catch up with you guys - sounds like Craig will be having fun there and I'm jealous.

TimD..

Now that is what I was told for it's meaning... :) And I doubt Craig's radios were lost.. Most likely stolen by some whacker working as a baggage handler..

Heck, I'm here in the states and I'm jealous.

Mark

I hope you guys who know Craig can tell the rest of us that he is a good example of an Aussie?? LOL

We wouldnt want the Yanks to get the wrong idea...or would we? ;)

If i was to make a trip over there, it would ned to last a while cause i would need to see the FE Guys running as well as the nitro...only Tunnels of course ;)

OH but meeting some more of the Guys on this forum would be sweet too!
