Jimmy Johnson's 80+ MPH 7.5cc O/B tunnel pass was impressive too. Their are quite a few people that want to run at that one. Maybe it will fall soon. That record has stood for a long time. The conditions have to be perfect for a tunnel to because you have to break into the 2's to book it. Nice job.

Bob,

Jimmy's tunnel is his own design with an older style CMB 45 using an adapter to a K&B lower unit. Maybe Jimmy or Chris can post a pic.

Hey Bob,

The boat that Jimmy used to make the 80mph run was a boat that was unlike the boat he molded and sold. I asked Jimmy about it because I had a boat that was similar to it in my shop. I think the boat I have is an old International Hobbies boat. A friend of mine got a divorce a few years ago and brought the boat and the molds to it to my shop and left them. It hasn't been touched since. Jimmy's boat ran better than that boat ever did on its best day. He has since moved and is now into pylon racing planes. I asked Jimmy about the similarities and even thought they look similar, his boat was custom made. From what I understand Jimmy used the WOF process to build it.

It was great to see you too Dick. Nothing like having the Virginia Craftsman in person at the SAWS!!

If we would have had the other two days we lost to bad weather, there would have been more records to fall for sure..... ;)

I had a great time at the event. Thanks Mr Shaw for being a great assistant CD and to all the people who helped us out. I made some new friends and as always glad to see my old ones. Mr Tidwell look forward listing to more of your storys, I know exacly where you left off. Mr Van Houten I would like to admit, you got me! I am glad you had a good laugh. There is always next time.

Now its time to trade the Futaba for the Beretta! We had a pretty start to the season yesterday.

KP,

You need to keep that dog in a bank vault. That is a once in lifetime dog right there. Great birds. I know you were happy to load up the cooler with feathers.

Yea, I did get you good. I couldn't help it. LOL

Kentley,

The look on your face when Carl told you where he put your prop, "PRICELESS"...... :D

Nice catch KP, it's raining ducks!

Too bad you only had limited good conditions, I'm sure many more records would have fallen...
