I know im in the wrong forum but I thought I could get a answer to my question here . After being out of Rc boats for 15 years I would like to set up a electric out board tunnel for me and my son to play around with,no racing,we live on the water, anyway after a lot of internet searching Ive come up with two boats that I like. The one I like the most is a top speed 2 however I dont know if this boat is to big for a electric outboard,I was planning on using a K&B lower unit with a cordite ss1 motor or a 700 size motor. the other boat is a bby tunnel I belive it is 27 inches long and the top speed is 30 inces long. But one is plastic and one is fiberglass. any way Im new to electric any info would help. Im thinking 15 to 25 MPH would be plenty for my son to handle . Thanks

Well, what would expect the guy who designed the Top Speed2 to tell you, "Go buy someone else's boat??!!"

I've been told by a couple of electric racers that the TS2 would make a good electric powered boat. It's really pretty light considering it is made from fiber glass.

The $100 price from Tower is decent. Some fellow posted on another strand that he got the boat for $80 using a $20 Tower Hobbies discount coupon on any purchase of $100. Those discount coupons are usually found in the Tower Talk sales catalogs that come out every couple of months.

The ad number (discount # ) is 010NB it is for $20.00 off of any purchase over $50.00. That dropped the TS2 price to $79.99 and shipping was less than $8.00...

Not a bad deal!!!!!!!!! :D
