Daniel, what would you suggest for a small. simple charger for your starter battery? I have no knowledge with these LiPo batteries.

I will help explain why we are making the settings and maybe take a few notes and you will be able to charge anything lithium and be safe. You must have a understanding of what your doing and why. It is incredibly important they are charged and used properly for your safety and to avoid damaging a pack.
Simple chargers with no screen are the very last thing you want,
You must be able to see what is happening and knowing your consumption from the pack.
Any hint of loss of power you must stop. Actually that is too late to be honest.
Every time you charge you see what was replaced so go out full everytime and charge it often at first to get a idea of YOUR usage rate. It keeps you from running the pack too low and if you keep the capacity at 25% and above the pack will last a very long time. Do not store at full capacity if you can avoid it the pack will have much longer life.
LiFe packs have some rules to follow similar to all lithium packs but are not a problem if you know what they are and follow.
Be especially careful not to charge in LiPo mode. It must specifically say LiFe Balance Charge and set voltage to 4S 13.2 volt(some say 12.8 volt for 4S LiFe and that is correct also) and charge rate of 5 amp or less for these packs as well for a safe charge cycle.
Charge on noncombustible surface with no combustibles nearby and charge when you can be present in the room where the charging is taking place. Always best to be safe than sorry. These things are incredibly safe but anything could and has happened.
Read the instructions with the charger and please call(sent you a PM with my home number) and I can be sure you have the 3 settings correct for charging this particular pack.
