To be fair, I have watched guys make SAW passes at the IMBA Internats in the mid to upped 60's with screw down hatches, solid shafts and K&B 3.5 power.i remember those days LOL!! screw the radio box lid down. solid oak motor mounts and hard shafts.. . oh and a k&b motor that would run maybe 45 at best LOL!!!

beautiful Eagle SGX there Andy. Is that a .45 size?That is why we split the rx box into two compartments on the boats 45 and up. The deck surface between is a full 5/16" thick to facilitate securing the pipe bracket which save pipes and the chance of a ripped off rx lid.
