drive line info plz

Hello gents...newb here again, forgive me for asking stupid questions...I just don't know. The flex shaft and brass tube, where they go through the bottom, do I need a special block or mount or brace of some kind? I thought I've read something about this but not sure where to buy or if such a thing exists. Could you point me in the right direction? It would be great to see pics of this. OH and I`m building a gas scale Bud T6

Show how I support the stuffing tube, and shaft log inside the boat

Small wedge of oak cut to fit, epoxy & cabosil to fill the voids, and a couple of layers of 4oz cloth & eopxy

If you have no experience and want a easy trouble free setup.....Get a Butch block. Otherwise Id use a 1/4inch drill bit in the collet to find where to cut the hole, then several layers of glass inside hull to hold tube. Just tape the bottom while your doing the top and try not to make a blob under the hull
