Re:Dive,Dive,

Tough boat, what about the driver. He must have nads the size of grapefruit. Bet he raced more that day.

GT

why go round the long way when you can go under?

Re:Dive,Dive,

Fleeting thoughts of a Tunnel Driver:

Please be deep…….PLEASE BE DEEP……..PLEASE BE DEEEEEEEP!

Re:Dive,Dive,

One of the places where we race has some very shallow spots in it (mill creek in Hampton Virginia). As shallow as 4ft on the straights. Once a year they race some professional classes of hydro there and it can be ugly if they get airborne.

Fortunately there have never been any accidents, but I keep thinking it's a serious injury waiting to happen

Hey Gene

Great shots I reckon I could make a cowl the right shape based on those. Could be the go for the Aerotech I got from OBNut. Would have look better than the standard design. :p

GT ;D

Re:Dive,Dive & More...

Nice pics... One of my tunnels did the ole find the hole in the water trick years back.. It went in so deep, a bystander had enough time to ask " where did it go?, what happened?".. At that point, I was thinking the same thing.. Since it was a Dumas wood Sprint, filled with 2-part foam, I knew it would show up.. About 3 secs after the comment, the boat shot straight up, engine first, to about 4 feet off the water.. Started to breath at that point..

In my 'younger' days, water ski'n on a lake that I didn't know it had shallow areas.. Do'n the ole cut back and down I went. Stood up, water to my knees.. That was scarry...

Re:Dive,Dive & More...

Hey thanks Guy's ;)

The "straight at ya" shots are finda rare. The Caniff design (no10) is just a smidge different than the Lamb design (dont remember the no, but its red) But the cowling is what sets them off on both for me.

Yeah the shallow stuff is scary, I was runnin at one of our local lakes with dads Glasstron and the boat kept slowing in one spot and it was way far from the shore, pulled the Evinrude up and it was choked with mud, I jumped in and Yep, bout a foot 1/2 deep

Re:Dive,Dive & More...

does anyone have a top, front, and side view?

Just to look at.... not for getting proportions or anything ;D
