I bought this. Works fine for me as well.

Looks similar to the the Mituoyo. It seems the manufacturer pimped this thing out a few times.

Wow, Mitutoyo thinks their name is worth some serious cash. I know they make quality mics, but dang, that's a big difference just to have their name stamped on it. Maybe Starrett should jump on that bandwagon ;)

Clay the one that reads .1 is a lot cheaper. You always pay for accuracy. would it be easier for you to cut a pie into 10 pieces or 100 pieces. One devides each degree by 10 and the other by 100.

Sincerly,

Hi Allen. I was looking at the Airgas Rutland Tool site and the .1 resolution model is $80 more than the SPI version of the same exact model at Don's link. The SPI .1 version looks identical to the mitutoyo .1 version, just branded with a different name on it. But I may be wrong. The Mitutoyo ".01" resolution model is the ultimate, but sort of luxurious at $359.00  But if you've got the resources, I bet that would be the one to get for accuracy.

What! Another tool I need to buy??? I'm still trying to find the funds for the mini lathe and milling machine.

Why can't we all live next to each other so we can just borrow stuff back and forth!

:D
