Hello All!

I was informed August 28 that I am being permanently transferred to Denver. I have to be out there in 6 weeks. Not a happy time right now for my family and I. I stopped in at the district 4 race and said my good byes. My tunnel boat, the former tobys Toy, is now back in the hands of Glenn Immekus.

I may not be watching the posts as often as I used to. Once this all over and done I'll be posting as often as I can looking for info on the Denver area. Anybody out there from Denver? give me some info!

later!

Ed, I go to Denver quite often for my company I work for. Im sorry to say but I dont think there is much going on in Co. as far as nitro boats go. Ive been to a bunch of hobby shops during my stays there and everyone says that the local wildlife and environmental ordinances are so strict that there is hardly any interest. Unless you own your own pond? Im sure there is someone in the area that runs but I dont think it is as abundant as some of the other places around the country though. ( beleive it or not its a big reason I didnt move there!) What part of denver will you be in? The city? or a suburb of? I can point you in the right direction of some good hobby shops that may be able to help find a local club....... Good luck !

ED,

Lots of good people to run with in Denver area.

Neal & Miles Goldsborough from Aspen.

Cody, Scooter & Kelly Stout from Eaton.

Brett Pirie from Longmont.

Marvin Taylor from Fort Collins.

Great group of guys. check out http://www.namba20.com

Thanks for the info guys. It looks like Namba puts on about 8 races a year in the area. Over the winter I'll try to hook up with some boaters out there and find out what water is okay to run on. I'm going to miss running with Grim and the Preusses and Mike Dorsch and Rick Alexander and the rest of the Illini club members. I'll be the guy in the Grimracer T-shirt! Thanks for the shirt Mike!

Geneo, I'm a flatlander. No way you getting me on skis. Its just not natural!

Later!
