My entries went in the mail yesterday. B, D, E Hydro and D Tunnel. I also sent an entry for my daughter to run B Tunnel on a single event membership.
Wish I could be there Chris but my Daughter's Graduation is Conflicting. Sorry you won't have any competition in the Nitro Hydro Classes.................. OOPS!!! Did I Say That!!!................. :D :D :D :D :D :D
I'd say that's too bad but what a great reason to not be there. Congrats! Nothing to worry about anyway. I've got some setup things to work on while I'm there since I have had zero opportunity to test since the last race. They could work out, but then again maybe they won't! Never been to this race site so I'm not sure what to expect from a conditions standpoint. No matter what, a weekend racing boats is a great weekend!

chris, you're putting your daughter in b tunnel ? don't tell me i'm going to get beat by a girl !!!!!!! thanx for your input at the showdown, i think i got some setup issues straightened out, i have been testing. see ya at the pond.

Yeah, she started running boats about 8 years ago when she was 8 years old. NAMBA Dist. 19 has A (.21) and B (.45) Rookie classes. She ran in A Rookie. After that she's only run from time to time usually not more than one or twice a year at best. In fact that last time she ran was at the 2006 NAMBA Nats in A Mod Tunnel and finished 6th overall. She's excited to be going next weekend since she really does like running the boats and even more likes meeting and hanging out with the boaters. She's been living with me since October but will be moving back home to Denver next month so the NAMBA Nats being in Greeley just up the road from where she and her sister live is a great chance for us to run boats together.

Family first, fun second. In the end, for us it's a hobby meant for enjoyment and nothing to get all worked up over!

not worked up at all, chris. just means i need to practice more when i get beat. boy or girl - it doesn't matter. glad you're getting to spend the time with her, that's GREAT! plus you both get to share something fun to both of you, that's even better! look foward to meeting her & racing with her, also.

I checked Easton, Denton, and all the way up to Chesterville. I found no reasonably priced rooms. There were some available in Annapolis, but I didn't know what it would be like crossing the bridge at the start and end of the race days. I have one reserved for something like $144 per night, but I'm seriously wondering about the amount of $$$ the weekend is going to end up costing me. I considered camping, or renting one of the cabins at the campground, only $50 per night, but I wasn't enthused about having to walk back and forth to the bathhouse after a day of being on my feet.

Well if that $160 room has a little floor space someone could bring an air mattress & split the room 3 ways, then it's like $54 a night. Sure wouldn't be the first time any of us has done that. :p

Well, I went with the Comfort Suites in Chestertown. $129-$139 a night. Only King/Sofabed rooms available.

hey guys, check with americinn in herrington, de. they still show rooms available for $119 a night. 2 queen beds. about 25 miles from the race site. that's where i ended up at......

hey chuck;

you can bunk with Tracy and myself in Easton. (40 bucks fo rthe weekend) will be staying at the comfort inn there. if it doesnt work out for Ray, he knows he can stay with us also.

i'm still waiting to hear from gavin, if he's not coming, i'll have space. that's if someone wants to spend a weekend with me & william/ww29............... $109 per night, split 3 ways. being a F.R.O.G. gave me a little discount.
