DelMarVa Model Boat D12 points race #2 June 6,7,8.

Posting this by request of the DelMarVa Model Boat Club for the IMPBA District 12 Aeromarine Points Challenge race #2. B)

D & E mono will be run as a non points class only if there are enough entries to make the 4 boat minimum in each of the classes by the May 28th deadline. If not they will be placed in open nitro mono points class.

YES! Driver's meeting @ 8 with racing at 8:30.

Last year there were issues with people around the pond that prevented any running before 10:00. The club reported that these issues have been resolved so they are able to plan for an 8:30 start time. Whether they hit that goal, I can't say, but if they don't start until 10:00, you won't be the only one who's pissed.

Race 1 is now history. The D12 points race is now on. Who's going and what are you bringing? At a minimum, I'm entering:

Sport 40

D Hydro

F Hydro

Open Cat (maybe)

Not sure about the other classes yet, I may decide to enter B hydro and/or B tunnel.

As discussed at our race, if you've got a Sport 40 but not a D rigger go ahead and enter D hydro. As those who were in Greensboro saw, they certainly can make for some interesting races.

To All Racers,

The race will start promptly at 8:30AM and the heats will move along very quickly so be ready for your heat when called. I have noted to Earl that I will CD this race for them as I am a member of the Delmarva Boat Club, and to get everyone on board for the Gas Bash in July. We will get four (4) rounds of racing in weather permitting. For those who know me from past racing in D12 I don't like to waste time and like to keep the race moving as Mike Hemric did in NC at the first D12 points race (Nice Job Mike). We want everyone to enjoy the racing and leave with their boats and equipment in one piece.

I'm going to have a limited amount of space in the van, not enough time between now and then to prep either of the new boats that I want to run, and not enough open water to shake out the inevitable tuning issues. Something had to give and B tunnel drew the short end of the stick. I'll work to get one or two of them ready for the July race.

Well, if it's B Tunnel you have nothing to worry about with me. My oldest daughter will be running a stock boat I'm putting together for her to run in the 20 Mod, me to run in 20 Stock, and my youngest daughter to run in Kids R Boaters at the NAMBA Nats in Greeley, CO. I suppose I should get out to the garage and start putting it together!
