The Oakland Wolverine Model Boat Club is celebrating the 50th running of the “Mini Gold Cup” in 2017.
We are providing free hot dogs and hamburgers, water, soda to all contestants and friends.
The entry fee is “FREE” this year, I don’t believe any other club in the country has had an rc boat race for 50 consecutive years.
There has been a regular group of racers that have participated in the event for the last 10-20 years, they will be given first chance to enter, we have a limit of 3 boats per driver, and a 120 boat limit for the event.
IF you would like to, you can donate to the race $10.00, if you would like to sponsor a class it is $50.00 per class.
First Place trophy’s will be precision made wood hydro trophy made by Tim Ries, the original builder of “Crapshooter” outrigger hydroplanes, 2nd & 3rd place will be gas cards ($20,$15).
