I am looking for a recommendation on a good closed cell foam to be used for floatation of an 1/8th cowling. The cowling is the Bud turbine type - so a little larger.

I have used the closed cell foam that is found at Hobby Lobby or similar craft stores that is only about an 1/8th inch thick. I have used this on an outrigger cowl but never a larger 1/8th scale.

Recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

The home supply centers sell rolls of sill plate insulation a closed cell blue foam works very good for cowling flotation it is only about 1/4 inch thick and about 4 inches wide fits in cowlings well I like to use E6000 to glue it the cowlings it is the same as Shoegoo but is cheaper at the craft stores like Hobby lobby and Micheals only cost about $3 per tube.
