Thanks Timothy. I have Jerry's contact info, I just didn't know that was who he was talking about. I also checked hobby supplies for pricing. Enjoy yhe new year. Thanks for reply.Greg one more piece of info! The reason people are telling you about Hobby Supplies in Aus. is because with the current exchange rate the 101 EVO is at $547 plus $40 shipping, you won't beet that price. Google Seaducer boats and you will see Jerry Crowther's contact info.
Thanks for the reply. Just curious why the 47"?47" Seaducer install the cmb 101 ,,X467 prop back cut, leading edge pitch, pipe 12-1/4"

Thanks again for your response. I deeply appreciate all the info people are giving me.Charles is running I believe a 45”. It’s either the 44” or the 45”
The evo 101 is a great performer and significantly cheaper. The parts all Interchange with the RS3. The cooling head and case are different mainly the evo is 4 bolt heads and the newer ones are 6 bolt head. And the evo has more cooling. Which in a mono is not a big deal. But easily by-passed.
No reason for the price not to run one.
But definitely listen to your local guys as to what is smartest or popular.
Listen to Danny.....and yes, Charles Dukes' boat is a monster....Reading posts and asking questions. Is this a good choice of engines? From the questions I've asked and from what I read it is. At first I was looking at nova Rossi but then found out they aren't making marine engines. Then I thought about an o.s. max .91 but couldn't find them around either. So then I asked on a post and people told me about CMB which I never heard of. So then I started doing a little research and asked more questions and was told by Danny king that the 101 rs3 m line was the engine I would want.
Who's Jerry? Is that the name of the club you belong to, Saginaw club? Do they have a web site? I would like to come up there and watch some races next year.
'1500 bucks' for a CMB 101 engine???.....thank God I don't live on the same planet as you!The engine is the best they make.
I was more curious of your nitro engine experience other than the boat you mentioned. Didn’t want to see you spend 1500 bucks on the engine if tuning it might be an issue.
Exactly....I was building one up a year ago and after some thought regarding fuel consumption, all around maintenance, and the reality of having to travel ~1500 mi to compete, we made the correct decision to sell the complete, never fired rig to Frank Trapani (WastedWages) down in Texas....and he got a helluva deal.I'm with you Tim B And D mono are great classes in D2 Charles runs B and D mono at every race and usually saves the big mono for bigger events Happy New Year
Sorry my bad. A modded 101 with speedmaster carb and pipe is only 1250.'1500 bucks' for a CMB 101 engine???.....thank God I don't live on the same planet as you!
How much are y’all paying for engine mods?Sorry my bad. A modded 101 with speedmaster carb and pipe is only 1250.
Nothing for me.How much are y’all paying for engine mods?
Buying a boat and testing/practicing is not racing. He doesn’t have to race it in the first month. I wanted to point out that when racing time comes for him that class always makes when 40 does not. That was the main point.I hear yah Jeff I just seen he introduced him self as a new member not sure if he's ever raced before didn't know if he wanted to dive into the fastest mono class out there but what do I know ?
