You probably don't need to mess with the head button of you just want to play around with the boat.
Sounds like you have either a fuel flow problem or a bearing problem or both.
Definately try running a single tank.
Also keep the plumbing between the tanks as short as possible. looked like you have a long line between the tanks.
Good luck and dont worry this will get solved. The more information you can give about the details of what the boat is doing before the launch, just after launch and when it dies the better.
